What is wrong with my chicken?

I don’t know what is wrong with two of my hens. I have about ten free range chickens with one rooster. Two of my girls have missing feathers on their heads and their backs kinda by their wings. It’s the black and white one and a full black one. I put a before picture too. I thought they would grow back by now but they haven’t so I’m a little worried!

Any chance your rooster is causing feather loss from overly vigorous mating? My Columbian Wyandotte -- a favorite of my least-favorite rooster -- has feather loss very similar to the hen in your first photo. Same rooster "romances" my little Cochin Bantam girl and she has few feathers left on the back of her head.

That’s what I was thinking but they’re not growing back I don’t know what to do My is rooster recently got hurt a pig stepped on its foot.

How recently did he get hurt? Usually a chicken needs to go through a molt to really grow any feathers back.

The feathers will grow back when they molt. You can use hen saddles to protect the backs of the ones who are getting more beat up.
