what is wrong with my hen????

Is it going to kill her. And how would they get it???

I am not really sure, I would kill it, it's looking for a new host whatever it is and picture is on here , that's why I tagged some of the experts

at least put it in a glass jar it can't get out of you don't want it laying it's eggs around to be on the safe side

based on picture I looked at it looks like this round worm, but can't find my reading glasses is that right? the local farm store should have something like wazine which is a wormer and you will want to probably treat your whole flock

It looks like roundworms to me.
You can worm her with Safeguard (Fenbendazole) or Valbazen.

If using Safeguard and only treating for roundworms, Dosage is 0.23ml per pound of weight given orally once, then repeat in 10 days.

Valbazen dose her at 0.08ml per pound of weight. Give orally once, then repeat in 10 days.

Please post some photos of your hen. She likely has more going on than just worms, it's hard to know. Examine her for lice/mites, feel her abdomen for bloat or fluid and let us know what her crop feels like. Check her legs/feet for any swelling/injury and the bottom of the feet too.

Since she's not able to walk, it's good that you crated her so she can get to food/water. I would get her drinking first, then offer food.

Thank you for the info everyone. Here is her pic, her Crop fills fine but I do think she had leg mites, my question is, how would she get round worm??? I dont know if this has anything to do with it but there yard is sand, there is no grass because they eat it all. I fill so bad for my hen, but I had to put her back in the yard because I had no idea what worm that was and I didn't want anyone to get sick.

you will probably want to give a good cleaning to the waterer's besides treating the whole flock apparently i need to go get more coffee lol
