What is Wrong With This Egg/Chicken?

Corrugated shell.......Azygous' is a slab-sided.

Both can be from stress or disease...
...or just a shell gland glitch, can happen around molting time.

I’m newer to chickens so wondering if you could expand more on older chickens; our girl is about a year and a half- is that old in chicken years? Thanks for commenting.
Not really, can depend on breed...your girl is prime time to have her first annual molt tho....see a lot of feathers around yet?

Yes, I wouldn't worry about one wrinkled egg. Your hen is young, not much danger of other issues. "Old" is my flock of aging layers of six to eight years old and retired layers age nine and ten.

curious to know... was the inner egg normal? I once got an egg that was totally soft shelled and inside was normal, followed the hen and all seemed good, hen was three at the time and in good health. still not sure of the abnormality.
It was completely normal in the inside. Hoping it was just one weird one to keep us on our toes!

The shell division of the egg making factory seems a little wonky... is this a pullet who just started laying? If so, it isn't too unusual. If the hen has been laying for awhile, I would watch her more closely. There are a bunch of factors that may contribute to the problem.
She’s a year old. We’ll keep an eye on her, she’s our favorite, the sweetest, friendliest of the bunch so we are worrrid. Thanks for the thoughts!

What are you feeding her? Probably just an anomaly, but if it continues you might want to look for contriburing factors.
