What is your birds favorite toy ???

my one budgie "mr. monson", loves this piece of old typ pull chain of key chain thing that is like metal beads connected by metal string links, with a big thick key chain ring on it (she wouldnt leave it alone on me, so i just hung it in a cage for her). she will disconnect it at times, but mostly just loves to rapidly and repetitively pull from inside or outside of her cage, and it is HERS and she will make trouble with anyone else that attempts to play with it (usually hitting them with it). also she loves twisy ties, taking them off of things, bending them all up, or straightening them out and poking the other birds or occasionally me to get attention. she also takes those tags off and loves them from the plastic clips and bread saver tags (i really do give them real actual, and nice bird toys to play with, HONEST!!!). they like bells too, and mirrors mostly for the boys, that preen themselves in, but then Mr. Monson, does make the light dance around on purpose seeming to shine the other birds and me in the face scaring some, getting others to neurotically bash around fluttering after as its light dances across the walls. oh yeah she also loves to tease cats, and will chase and "ride" the young ones ive had, but teases the other big ones by dancing and playing it up from window or cage, yelling "kitty kitty kitty!!!", then chuckling as they bash into the window or her cage till they knock themselves silly (the real reason we need budgie cages to be half in bars), being my first rescue bird, and first budgie ( i had no idea they were just like the other parrots just smaller, and now in my opinion better!), and teaching one rescue tiel to do the same, though the tiel also makes cat sounds, says here kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty kitty, makes the can opener sound, and can then freak them out by sounding like this huge cat hating guard dog, or my neighbor's annoying but lovable little pom pom.
my tiels, never really liked any toys, but the lovebirds would attack and destroy anything you gave them, especially the TP rolls (unscented etc of course), and one would get in, then the other would roll it around and play with it while inside, then eventually theyd switch, but the one never liked to be doing the playing and would try to hog the time being rolled up and around in it. i swear ive never seen sillier birds than my love birds were, as theyd actually sleep hanging from their beaks or hanging upside down like bats, or gripping the top of cage with beaks and feet.
my finches now, any natural toy will do like pieces of egg shell, a stone, straw stick twig, feather from one of the other birds, piece of hay, or blade of grass, but especially dandelion greens (all of my animals love them though, just the one tiel and budgie will eat and play with or even go near the flowers of them though oddly..). theyll be amused for hours maybe at most, then theyre done with it and want it out of their cages. lol the finches love after i re arrange or putz with their perches though, and then they seem brand new. also they love to chase and snatch up tiny bugs like ants and flies, baby feeder: meal worms, crickets, roaches. course sometimes theyll just kill them and play with them or the males will dance around and entice the females with, or when had nests in, theyd stuff them as full as id let them till i emptied them out.
the ring neck doves, and courtnix quail would also play with one or two parrot toys like rest, but havent really tried any but my first one with any toys in cage, as was supposed to just be letting them free fly in and out when nice. my budgies and tiels would do the same, though never went to far from/off my balcony, till a hawk chased the lead budgie around for a while, now they wont and get scared and wont even fly or leave cages if door is open. lol i had a leather and shoe laced obsessed peregrine falcon, when i was studying falconry (it also wouldnt hunt birds and was afraid of pigeons.. he was attacked by an aggressive cock bird i had).
