What is your current obsession?

Thanks! I'm excited, but at the same time kind of kicking myself for starting something that's going to take SO long to get right! Oh well!

Yeah, but when you get it, just think of all of the eggs you can sell me!

We won't talk prices just yet though...

Right now, it's wheaten marans and sex-linked (I'm thinking splash or splash wheaten over cuckoo) marans. But on my "dream farm," I'm also hoping to have some dorkings, some sussex (probably light and speckled), and ameracaunas (not sure on the color, I'm a big fan of BBS and wheaten, and the buff have piqued my interest plus I think lavender is very pretty). And I saw an auction for LF frizzled easter egger hatching eggs a few weeks ago that made me really wish I had more space (and a 'bator or a broody). And I think that the aloha chicken project that several BYC members are currently working on are really neat too. And the past few weeks I keep thinking it might be fun to have a few shamo just for their odd stance.

This a breed thread, so I wont say that since moving to a chicken-less environment, my obsession has become old fishing reels.

Nope, not gonna say it.

Yes! Brabanters!

My current (in my dreams) wish list includes:

Brabanters (Creme and Gold)
Ameraucanas (Wheaten, Black and Lavender)
Russian Orloffs (Regular, dark mahogany spangled)
Cuckoo Dorkings
Production Black Leghorns

All of them for some "project" or another except for the Orloffs. I like them just the way they are.

Brabanters are pretty close to perfect, too...

(For a small bird.)

Given the chance I will work on size, too.
