What is your favorite breed of dog?

I've got a lot of favorites!

Sporting group- Golden Retriever, hands down. Also clumber spaniel and american cocker spaniel.
Working group- bernese mountain dog, giant schnauzer, boxer, doberman
Herding group- rough collie, pembroke welsh corgi, pumi
Toy group- papillon, biewer terrier

Too many to write in depth about, but ask me about any and I"ll tell you why I love them!

Shelties! Smart, good size for the city, loyal, and gorgeous. I had one while growing up, and he was the wisest, most gentle, majestic creature. Poor boy died at the age of fourteen a week before my wedding years ago. Miss him to this day. Decided to get another Sheltie for my son when I was pregnant, and he is lovable guy... an idiot, but lovable! Does his breed no credit in the smarts department, but oh well... :D

That’s the best answer! Lol

You are very talented! Do you draw chickens too? 😂😂

I have never seen a Great Pyrenees in person but I’ve heard they are wonderful animals! ❤️
Sometimes! I draw lot of different kinds of animals, but I have done a chicken and I am currently working on another for Cherrynberry. And thank you! :)

I'm really up for any dog that's well bred, to be honest
I'm not a fan of BYBs or off standard colors

My favorites have all been mixes except for a Belgian Malinois who owned my heart for almost 15 years. Great dog; intelligent, intuitive, extremely bonded to me. She was VERY high energy and needed constant exercise, constant training and constant tasks/challenges to complete until she was around 9 or ten. As age took its toll, she slowed down and calmed down to the point that all she really wanted was to snooze in a patch of sunlight with her paw resting on my foot.

Before then, and since, abandoned and stray mutts have been my go-to breed.

My current freeloader is a Siberian Husky GSD mix who KNOWS she's not allowed on the furniture. One pic is her asleep, the other is her "don't make eye contact because I'm invisible" look.

I hear ya! It's sad that a lot of people have to learn the hard way about breeding Merle x Merle...😞

I'm a cat person, so I tend to gravitate more towards smaller dogs. I like Chihuahuas and Yorkies, Mini Poodles. The smaller the dog, the more my cup of tea LOL! (easy to carry/lift, less expensive (surgery/medications/food etc.) )
