Makes sense! I just don't see the appeal in white eggs, but I guess they are better than any other color for dying.

My favorite breed lays white eggs. It's controversial, but I don't choose the chickens I raise by the color of eggs they lay. I know, blasphemous

My favorite breed also lays white. But they make up for it by being beautiful in both appearance and personality.

For the record, though, I've seen some really gorgeous dyed brown eggs! The brown shell really adds a nice depth to the dye color.

Some of our chickens have personalities that cover up for what they might lay in the future (they're still pullets). Honestly, I don't care whether my Cream Legbar pullet ends up laying green or white eggs (though we hope for blue), because her personality definitely makes up for it!
