What is your favorite kind of dog?

We've had lots of dogs, and my most favorite was a Bouvier mix. He was kind-hearted but protective; he loved all the rest of my critters, and he was funny. Not a pretty one by any stretch, but what a lover of life and of us!!

We've since gotten two Great Danes (and a purebred Bouvier) and I have to say, I cannot ever see myself without a Great Dane. My Macey has stolen my heart - she tolerates the other two dogs, and her world is complete when me and DH are home with her!

I'd say my favorite is the standard poodle, which were originally used as water dogs, duck hunting, etc. We have one now, and she is the biggest, sweetest clown. We have several mixed breeds also.

i love. a good german shepard, Also love a great pyrenees (have one now.. ) rat terriers are fun (2 inside). but i really want a Great dane. and maybe eventually. after the 2 inside dogs die. Get a papillon. i just love them little dogs

We had big dogs, but I don't think I could again. Too much mess! I am pretty fond of miniture schnauzers and pugs.

These aren't my dogs, but they are certainly some of the cutest I've seen......

Of course I am biased, my own dog has eyes very similar to Sugars and one of her nicknames is Sugar. She is Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, and Vizsla mix. Her given name is Tiger but she has a lot of other names.

Mixes are very nice dogs. GR mixes GS mixes and Vizsla mixes. Sporting dogs in general are nice and Poodles (standard)

I had a Vizsla and also loved her dearly (velcro dog)

well this tough, especially since i have five different dogs. well i don't have one anymore but i had a great dane once that was just fabulous. i really like my pyr/anatol. mix for his working abilities and he's really sweet. i've liked most golden retrievers i've met and have one. heck i don't know what my favorite breed is. i guess large breeds but only certain ones.... ones i own. i'm not really a dog person but i like my dogs and wouldn't hesitate to help one if that makes any sense.

Doxie's of course. I will never be without one. They are so smart, independent, stubborn and will never do anything on command. They are comical and fiesty and always make me laugh. With their love of food, I am glad they dont breed 'em big

Actually I love all kinds of dogs and cats too.

This is Belle teaching one of her puppies (born Nov 07-half lab half boxer.) how to lounge about.

My life has been graced with many great dogs of many great breeds. I tell people Boxers are my favorite, but in truth, I love all dogs.
