What is your favorite kind of dog?

My fave is mini ausies. Yeah, mines afraid of cats. And she takes a while to warm up to new people, but so do I so we're a match made in heaven!

I don't think I've ever met a dog I didn't like, and I spend a good deal of my time at dog shows admiring other breeds, but our breed of choice is the poodle. We raise and show standards and miniatures (very rarely breeding--last litter was Nov. 2006). They're great, super-smart, non-shedding dogs who are as happy to work all day as they are to be great big couch-potatoes, as long as they're with you!

And of course, once they've retired from the show-ring, you put them to work as farm hands...

Okay, wow! The reason I asked is because Sugar has fur like nothing I've ever felt on a dog before. She honestly feels like a rabbit. And she sheds like nothing I've ever seen before!!!!! Her tail is fluffy and curls up just like his. Here is her normal position in life... http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2063/2536582651_811671b8f8.jpg?v=0

can you see her fluffy tail?

She looks just like a Czechoslovakian Wolfdog. Look it up-you may be surprised!

I've always wanted an English bulldog. Ya, they are cute!!!

I love their big wrinkly faces and snuffly grunts. The ones I've met have been so friendly and love back scratches. They are just so cute.

So many breeds, so little time!

Over the years I've had a few different breeds. As a child, my first puppy was an English bulldog, just a sweetie. I love standard poodles, miniature poodles, great Danes, bichon frises, Yorkies. I have never "met," but think I'd like Newfoundlands and Irish wolfhounds.

Dachshunds! Without a doubt, they are my all time favorites. I never would have pictured myself having one. Growing up, we had Labs, Cocker Spaniels, a couple Brittanys, and a German Shorthair.

When I married my husband, we got a Jack Russell. A few years later, my parents bought me a Dachshund and we ended up getting another one the next year. The Dachshunds are hands-down the most intelligent and loving dogs I have ever owned. I never want another breed of dog now.
