Why are blue and lavender together?

They're completely unrelated. Mille Fleur and Porcelain I could understand, but why blue and lavender?

I think he was grouping based upon appearance, not genetics.

For instance, some folks prefer birds that are "hot" colours: predominantly yellow/red. Other folks prefer the cooler colours of blues amd greys. Some folks like solid colours, other prefer patterns.
