What Is Your Pet’s Name and What WERE They Going To Be Named!?

3 years ago I had 3 bantam RIR chicks who looked alike. My son named them Kwik, Kwak and Kwek.
These are the Dutch names for Donald Ducks nephews.

Kwik had to go bc he turned out to be a boy. Kwek became Kwekky and Kwak became Katrientje bc Kwak and Kwakky are rather peculiar names.

Katrientje is the girlfriend of Donald and it suits her. Tje at the end means little.

We are naming our puppy Jäger (brought him home today), which was going to be Cosmas last week. So I'll pop in again later to update on whether or not her keeps his name.

Leela was Tipo at the shelter when we got her. Changed that fast.

My cats were both street cats that I rescued as kittens so they had no names until I gave them names (Moose and Oscar)

I don't know if this counts, but both our dogs were from the local shelter and had names assigned to them, which we changed. Our Walker coonhound was named Beau and we re-named him Seamus (pronounced Sha-mus), and our beagle/Aussie mix was named Trudy and we renamed her Fiadh (pronounced Fee-ah). We wanted them both to have Irish names.
