What killed my babies

I have covered ever hole with wire mesh. I am not sure how anything would have gotten in.

Check every screen, every door, every gap, if you can get your fist in anywhere, they can get in.

Weasels will chew into the skull, or neck vertebrae to immobilize their prey, & will often do sport kills.

And they can easily fit through chicken wire holes without any effort.

I forget about weasels, we (thankfully!) Don't have them here.
This calls for hardware cloth!

Where they all the same size or was this the oldest one?

All bought together, same size

So sorry for your losses!
Pictures of your coop area will help here too. Any opening larger than 1/2" diameter is too large!!! Rats will kill birds at night, it happened here years ago. And if rats can enter, so can a weasel.
Have you found any openings? Was a door unlatched? Any holes in the floor?
Many of us have learned the hard way that our security wasn't good enough, and needed to be fixed.
