What killed my duck?

on the rock you can see if you look carefully on the Rock there's some bird poop I'm guessing maybe if it is there was a bird-of-prey involved it had a big poop right after it had its meal

And remember I took these pictures this afternoon so it's been a while since she was killed yesterday afternoon or right before dark so I think the feathers had time to move down the creek on the Gravel Bar I don't know but I think I remember that the feathers were closer together yesterday

Duck feathers looking wet screams mammal. Meat chunks laying on the ground do not agree with a raptor consuming chunks as torn off. Tracks look a little odd for a raptor and too big to be a weasel or even a mink.

Bird of some sort has been around, but evidence provided not strong for it consuming duck and no evidence for raptor making kill.

A heron could have took a dump near kill sight.

here is another track we found near the den that we found right next to where they like to swim a secret Den on the side of the creek

Here is another picture of a print we found about 3 ft away from their swimming hole underneath a cedar tree pointing towards the water looks like it was hiding

in this picture in some of the pictures you can see my cat he went on a hike with us this is the den I was talking about it's about 50 ft away from their swimming hole kind of tucked in around the corner where the Ducks couldn't see they have been swimming in the creek for about 2 months now I couldn't stop them I would try to go get them and they would go right back
