I'd say coon too. He can't take it with him because of the fence that's in between them....


Normally though they will pull them through the fence piece by piece... he must have been interupted for him to only eat the head and guts.

Did he not roost in the coop that night?

Did you find anything in the trap this morning?

I would suggest having plywood, a couple feet taller than a raccoon and your chickens, around the bottom of your chainlink. The raccoon won't be able to grab them that way and if he jumps up to the section that isn't covered, he still won't be able to reach.
