What kind of animal drags a chicken away but only eats its head and insides?

I was wondering what animal that might be because my neighbor call me and said he found one of my chickens in his yard with the head bit off and all its insides eaten. I have chicken wire buried as a fence with 2 strands of electric around it. Also there is netting over top.I have them locked into a coop that i built. I have wire all around the coop with a regular door with a lock on it. The door hasn't been closing the whole way, its been open about 2 inches toward the top.

A lot of animals will only eat a small part of bird, especially the head. I'd say raccoon but that's a guess.

Your set up seems secure enough but there has to be a breach. Not only for an animal large enough to drag a bird to get in but to get that bird out. Clearly a fair sized hole somewhere that you need to find and repair. Use an extra latch to hold the door closed at night.

You can rule out some predators like raccoons and opossums by appearance of feathers around missing parts. Pictures?

Does your electric also surround the coop itself?
