What kind of Bantam am I

Wh

No one wants a nice rooster? If killing was your very very very very very very very last resort, Then i owe you an apology. But if it was not, Then well i don't and your a murderer.
:gig
I’ve been trying to give some away for free for months! Since March I think. Yes I don’t like killing things. But sometimes it’s better than where they’d end up. We have a lot of bird and dog fighting here. You have to be careful where you rehome things to.

When you ask about no one wanting nice roosters, I think what she is saying is that, in general, the people around her don't like roosters at all - be they nice or aggressive. Some people don't like the noise they make. I think it is a sign you are blessed to live a more rural life, so I like the crows.
Yes that and everyone always wants hens. And in town they are not allowed to have roos.

I by no means have had to deal with an aggressive rooster (or any rooster for that matter), so I can't say what I will do if I am in that situation. I can say that Alleyschicks has been super helpful in every post I have about chickens. She is very knowledgeable and clearly loves her birds. I am sure that the whole situation with Petree was very hard on her.
Hyper_chicken05, I appreciate the articles. I am sure they will come in very useful if I have one that grows up to be aggressive. I am still holding out for nice, friendly roosters.
Thank you for the kind words, I try to help as much as I can. Everyone was new to chickens once and there’s always something to learn :)

@Hyper_Chicken05, I think it is time for you to stop.
Many of us cull mean roosters, many of us cull meat birds, or chickens who don’t fit the needs of our flock for many reasons. Name calling is not helping this situation. @AlleysChicks did nothing wrong either way, and personally a month is a long time, I probably would have given up sooner.
A horrible teenager? One that smokes, Drinks and breaks the law? Are they killed? No. And i know what your going to say, "Humans are different". Well whem it comes to deciding over somethings life, Its not.

Putting your NEEDS over an animal is ok, But putting your WANTS over an animals life is not humane. Because a rooster does not suit your wants and your flock. That does not give you the right to decide the fate of it. Just like a child, If a child was not meant to exist, And it doesnt suit your wants and your family. That doesnt give you the right to murder it.

I really appreciate the effort and resources you have posted. I even bookmarked them for the future. BUT, I will not judge anyone for doing what the feel is best for their flock, family, other pets, or life in general. Until you know someone's exact situation, in my opinion, it is best to refrain from judgement. Maybe in the future just post your resources and maybe add that you have never had a rooster you have not been able to rehabilitate or something like that? Calling people murderers, no offense, makes you come off as a not nice person. We are all here to help each other and learn from each other. I hope that I have not offended you and that in the future you will continue to chime in with comments and suggestions (just with no name calling ;))
