What kind of chicken am I?

It looks like a Buckeye to me.. Just because it has a rose comb does not make it a Wyandotte.

ETA: It does not look like it is five months old. Looks more like 3 months. When did you get it?

I got it 2 months ago, and it was at least 2 months old then, fully feathered and reasonably big. So he/she/it is no younger than 4 months, probably 5 ish.

My guess on gender depends a lot on the birds age. I'm not sure if I see male saddle feathers in that picture or not, but the lacing distribution seems male patterned. The legs are quite large as well.If this bird is truly 5 months old, I see a hen. If 3-4 months old, I see a cockerel.

I believe I see saddle feathers so my vote is cockerel. It is definitely not a salmon Faverolle. A Faverolle should have a single comb, beard/muffs, feathered legs, and 5 toes. You either have a barnyard cross or a rosecombed Rhode Island red.

I cannot see if it has saddle feathers from the image or not. If it is 5 months of age I'd think it would have tried crowing by now. As far as sex I'll say pullet. As far as breed I'm going with it being a cross breed.

Sweet! I'm ok with a mutt. I haven't heard the chicken make any real sounds so it could go either way.

So here is a picture of him/ her again today... The one with the grey tail feathers. Any more thoughts with updated pics?
