What kind of chicken do I have?

about 6 months ago, I got a, what I think is Americana chicken. Recently, she started laying and the eggs were green. Is she an Americana or EE? Below is a photo

That is a Beautiful egg! If she was sold as an "americana" she is probably an easter egger.
"Ameraucana" is the proper spelling for the pure breed. Many hatcheries call easter eggers "americanas" to confuse us I assume.

What a pretty egg! ... But what we really need is a picture or two of your hen. A good head picture, showing her comb and any tufting she has and a full side profile should do it.

That's because they aren't actually Ameraucanas.
