A nice mix breed. If he is related at all to the hens in the photo he has American Game Fowl in his lineage. He does look gamey in body type.

What breed are your hens? Looks like the rooster is a DominiqueX. Doms are big and fluffy

his mother was a barred rock, his father was cubalaya. i hatched a bunch of these crosses last year always using a cubalaya male over barred rock, rhode island red, and black australorp hens. the meat tastes great and they kept me in dark brown eggs. they do take a while to grow out. i have a pair left and a couple of chicks that i will be selling soon. chris was the closest guess because the barred ones were sex linked. all males were barred.
