What kind of clothes/shoe do you wear when you're in the coop and run?

Forgot to add in....you might want to wear more sturdy shoes...I stepped on a nail just outside the coop a couple of weeks back...had to go get a tetnus (sp?) shot!

I wear my normal clothes to the coop and I wear an old pair of Wal-mart crocs, which have no traction, and are about molded to the shape of my feet.

but in the winter/school year I wear boots or sneakers If it is cold.

I wear an old shirt over what I have on (I tend to hold my birds a lot, and this acts like an apron to avoid getting a mess)...
And I have 'coop shoes,' shoes that I wear ONLY when going into the chicken pen/yard and pigeon coop.

I find its easier to avoid getting anything else I have ruined, and I try to contain things that way.

Depends on the time of day, early morning and at night pj's. Otherwise it is whatever I happen to be wearing. We do have fake crocs that are our chicken shoes. They stay outside or in mudroom, and we never where them to someone elses home.

Since I live in flip flops, that is usually what I wear to the coop and everywhere else. I try to keep an "outside only" pair by the laundry room door so I don't track chicken poop in the house or something

I try to not wear shoes in the house anyway. Most of the time in the mornings I'm out doing chores in my PJ's

If it's muddy/wet outside, I wear my rain boots.....they're hot pink

I got my toe pecked too many times to wear flip flops....they didn't mean any harm...just wanted to know what fat grub had showed up.

"Shoes in the House or Not Shoes in the House"

Recently on another site there was a HEATED discussion on this, as many people were insulted when asked to remove their shoes to come into a house for a party. Shoed folks considered going shoe-less disgusting and tacky, and they had spent time coordinating the outfit with the shoes...shoe-less people thought the wearers of spiked heals on their hardwood floors to be inconsiderate, as they cause damage.

This place seems much more rational. Whatever it takes to keep chicken "stuff" outside works for me. We even have a hose by the front door in case you need to clean your bare feet before you come in (My DS says it is "very Hobbitty" to have a foot bath at the front door.)
