What kind of container do you use for grit?

Had one dive into one off the roost, very much died.
Plenty of room to avoid it too.
Heck of a mess.

Had one tear up a comb on one......and read of a bird getting stuck going thru the hole.
Neither died.

These are all such great examples! I also only have 5 hens so just need a relatively small container. But i’ve just decided if I end up with a pail, I’m going to write “True Grit” on it

Out of curiosity, how do you "know" that's what happened? Did the deceased leave a little suicide note? Did their flockmates recently take out life insurance on them!? Might have been cold blooded chickencide!

I got the 25 pound granite grit a TSC today.
The birds loved it.
Most of the pieces are pretty big. Instead of buying multiple different sizes, I'm going to take my lump hammer and make like a convict and turn big rocks into little rocks.

I use rabbit feeders and find that it helps. Just a quick question; do you guys give only grit and oyster shells or do you give anything else.
