What Kind of Dog WIll Not Chase Chickens?

We brought our 2 year poddle when we bought this house. We got chickens and the like afterward's.He is about 8 now.He has Never killed any bird here.I used to have a pic of one of the birds sitting on his back.He does do the dummy chase once in a while lol.He like's to run and play but he's been really super around the bird's.We have had turkey, geese, guinea rabbit's we have inside pets too.All dog's are different and some may be more agressive than other's.I have had livestock killed by neighbor dog's.I had ducks done in by a neighbor's jack before then someone abandoned one here once and it didn't bother any of the bird's.I have had a Heeler kill bird's/ lab's.We took in a nice looking Pom mix this summer but had to place him Only because he was car chasing. He was flake around the birds a couple of days but then was OK with a little scolding. But he was a nice looking Loving good dog other than being a tire eater. He got a really good home though. It's trial and error really.

About a month ago i came home and my Chihuahua had blood all over her head and tail. My rooster does not like her so i figured he attacked her, I gave her a bath and she had no cuts just a few tiny bald spots but nothing bleeding. The blood was from my roo's comb. it had tiny holes all over it and dried blood on his beak and head. He out wieghs the dog by 2 pounds and is alot bigger....so i guess all dogs can get them chickens !!!!

My Rough Coat Collie loves the chickens; lets them snuggle in her fur and sleep on her. She has never chased them but she knows they are 'mine' and part of the 'pack'.

A well trained dog won't.... and that is entirely up to the owner not the breed. Some breeds may take less training, I only have experiance with two of my own dogs.
DH's border collie= fairly difficult especially since she was raised a cow dog and not introduced to poultry until she was 5.
My Blue Heeler/Catahoula mix= bred to be a nipper/hunter/herder was very easy to train! As far as he's concerened Chickens aren't treats themselves... they're treatmakers

My neighbors aren't very good at keeping their dogs contained and from the ones that have come onto our property, a weiner dog and a chihuahua... both have to be watched closely if the birds are out or promply chased off the property because both have gone after birds.
