What kind of duck should I get?

That's Barbra Lewis in my avatar. She's half Pekin and half runner and mostly crazy. But very sweet and loves to hang out with me when she's not having the zoomies.

I third welsh harlequins. Beautiful and I’m pretty sure they are good mothers— correct me if I’m wrong.
Or Cayugas. Beautiful, iridescent black and my Cayuga Daffy (that sadly died) was broody all the time.

Calls! @chickens really got me intrigued with calls... I got my first one at an auction... then a few months later I was browsing through Craigslist... and decided to make the 4 hour drive to pick up 3 more calls! Definitely worth it! Such wonderful little ducks.

I've only had runners and they are NOT broody although my older girls' parents were so it's not a set in stone law that they won't be. Just not common I don't think. They sure are very cool ducks though and very pretty.

Runner are a ton of fun to watch and be around. I love silver appleyards and black Swedish ducks but they both get fairly big.
