what kind of hen is she?????????

She looks most like a dark cornish to me (body shape, red face, comb, & coloring), but... not 'exactly' like one. She doesn't have the bright yellow legs that DCs have and is laying the wrong color eggs, so she is probably a dark cornish mix.

i would say indian game cross.

I think it's a Golden Laced Wyandotte, it appears she has a rose comb, red earlobes, and lays light tinted eggs. She could be a little on the thin side keeping her from looking the characteristic wyandotte "blocky".

I agree there too, the characteristics she has are most like cornish, but she still has something about her that's not right, and yeah she should have yellow leggs and lay a darker eggs, but if she came from TSC, that means she came from a hatchery, and hatcheries do not breed to the SOP so that could explain some of her flaws.

Her type is no where near a wyandotte, her red color is too dark to be Golden laced, her color is called Double laced Partridge, and if she was rose combed, at that age she would at least have wattles, this bird dosen't not have visible watttles, which is yet another characteristic of pea combed Cornish.

If I'm not mistaken Asil and Cornish have ancestral background. They both should have yellow legs I think, but crosses could have white/pearl legs. Do you know how old she is? What color legs does she have? Some yellow legged chickens have poor genes and leg color could fade with age (I think).
The Asils that I have owned laid white eggs. But I think if the is a cross with a white egg layer she could lay white or cream colored eggs if she is Cornish (I think). I have never owned a Cornish though.

From my experience- cornish differ from rocks and other yellow-legged birds in that their legs do not fade after they've been laying. Sorry for the crazy pic- but the cornish wasn't my "target" You see her butt in the bottom right- and how her legs are dark yellow? She's 2 years old.

Here is a picture of my Gold Laced Wyandotte hen Maggie. The coloration and lacing look pretty similiar, but Wyandottes lay brown eggs so definitely not a full GLW.
