What kind of horse do you own?

We have 3 right now, and are looking for a fourth...

Scout, my 3 yo Quarter mix Grulla mare (she is at the trainers right now) I hope she turns out to be a good horse.

I love her, and she loves me, but I think she hates everyone else. Maybe she will grow out of it...I don't know. She's been giving the trainer fits! LOL!

Shiner, DH's 8 yo Thoroughbred rescue gelding that is FINALLY getting some padding on him!

He has been listed as black and/or bay, but I think he is Seal colored. Still doing some research on that.

Chico, DS' 9 yo Welsh/Appaloosa mix that is a red dun. This one we got without knowing anything about him. Apparently, he was a rodeo horse!

Knows the barrels, poles, and flags. Not so thrilled with roping, though, but we are working on that.

We just have them as pets, and for trail riding. The boys (7 and 9) use them for playdays with our Round Up Club.

I have two:

Winter Hill's Aetna - 12y/o gray Percheron mare (17.2hh)
Remington - 7y/o dappled gray Percheron/TB gelding (~15.3hh)

And no, they're not related.

Ideally I'd like to own some Clydesdales & Shires one day. I love me some Drafties!! And I absolutely ADORE the Friesian Sporthorse stallion, *Nico! He is my dream horse & I'd be tickled pink to own one of his offspring! Another favored breed of mine is the ever-beautiful Arabian, but it's not practical for me to own one for riding... they're usually on the smaller side & I'm close to 6' so, yeah... *LOL* ...maybe one day I'll own one. Ironically, the first horse I ever fell in love with was a camp horse named, Lace. She was a gorgeous flea-bitten gray Quarab. Since we developed such a bond over our summer together, her owner offered her to me. Unfortunately, my parents didn't have the money or the land.. so I had to pass her up. I cried like a big baby at the end of that summer! I still think of her & wonder how she's doing. Last I heard she went out west.

OK, OK... I'll shut up now. I could sit & talk horses all day... *HAHA*

I couldn't post w/out pics! My mom owns 6 Quarter horses, 3 bs paints, and two mustangs. Thought I had a herd pic, but couldn't find it (really need to get out and take some, they are looking great right now!)

dalmation app..thats funny,FYI they are called leopards

FYI the two patterns are completely different. The spots are even different. Leopards can have a blanket only pattern all the way to a complete spotted body. Dalmations are completely spotted..there is no blanket pattern. Although the Dalmation is often confused as a Leopard they are different. Check it out for yourself and take the time too look at the two.

It is no different than many people confusing a strawberry roan with a red roan. Close but no cigar.

Thank you HuestisFarm! Magic is my riding horse and Skip is my driving horse, I wouldn't give up either one!

And Crystal is (atleast in my opinion) a gorgeous girl! But she is my least friendly, I love her anyway!
