What kind of mite is this?

Not even worth it to try and get an image out from under the scope, i can just barley see big ones out from under the scope of their is the right backround enough light and I look long enough (their the size of dust).

these suckers are on chickens not ducks, I’ve seen them every few years on a sick bird but didn’t get an image from the scope untill yesterday, and even then it’s not the best (our microscope is old). anyway havnt been able to figure out what they are from Google so was wondering if anyone had some ideas for me to search?

What are you using to treat your birds and their housing?

You can find Permethrin based Poultry Dust or Spray at stores like TSC. Treat all birds and clean out their housing and treat that as well, repeat treatment in 7 day intervals to eliminate emerging parasites that hatch.
