I have 150 year 1" plank flooring in my living room and front hall

linoleum in my dining room and my kitchen

bamboo in the bedrooms..

what kind of mop do you use?..

the sponge mop that cost me $30 is a POS

the swiffer wet jet is a POS on the linoleum but great on the hard wood and the bamboo but I find it leaves a sticky residue sometimes if i dont change the pad enough and its just a surface clean does not really disinfect.

I will wash my floors with a bleach solution once a month ... just cause..... 2X a month in the winter cause we are inside more often

I am not a fan of the Swiffer wet jet. Same sticky problem.

I have a Libman mop with the removable string-type (actually strips of cloth with scrubby dots on them) head that you can throw in the washing machine. The head is a bit small but other than that, I LOVE that mop.

Don't use a mop use a steamer you should be able to as well on all your floors. Much cleaner than mop water etc . Dries in usually about a minute . I have tile on downstair floors , hardwood upstairs. easy peasey

how do you find the cord length is?.. the only time i used one was when they first came out and the cord was a PIA

We have laminate and ceramic and vinyl tile. I use the Swiffer, libman with removable washable head and Shark Steam Mop. Depends on how deeply and what type of mopping I am doing. The Swiffer is for my quick once overs. Steam Mop I use to loosen dirt and grime drug in by us and the dogs. Libman when I do a good mop job.

I USE A CRAPPY ONE THAT LEAVES CRAPPY SMUDGES ALL OVER MY CRAPPY WOOD FLOORS.

*sigh*

Dyson purple ball to get the loose grime, daily. Shark steam mop, daily on traffic paths and bathrooms, weekly overall. Kids with scrub brush, rags and toothbrushes when they are rotten.
