I have a rubber type garden pit planter thing burried in the ground. The hole is a little thinner and little deeper than the tub so it won't go all the way to the ground, about two inches above it, and below I can pull the rubber stopper and the water just drains into the dirt. I'd say it's about three feet wide and two feet deep. It's really thick, heavy material. I'm really really enjoying it and the geese LOVE to play in it.
