What kind of roo is this Giant Rooster???? He is crazy giant!

I had a huge EE roo like this. Also was advertized as Ameraucana, but I just liked his coloring. The comb can be different, the leg color can be dfferent, still an EE.

Not all EEs have what the basic discription of them says. They either look more Ameraucana, but because of color or pattern are not recognized or they are a mix of just about anything else. This guy looks like he was bred from a Brahma parent as well, but maybe not. His face to me says EE.

I say take him to the fair! Worst they can do is turn you down. Enroll him as the former owner said. Hope your grandkids do well.

I would say he is an EE, looks just like my two I gave away a couple months ago. They were sold to be as EEs from MPC. Their legs were a little darker, but his aren't too too pale. He has a pea comb.

He is panting in the pictures, a couple you can see how he holds his wings away from his body so the air can cool it. All my birds are doing that, even the 6 wk babies but were are having 100++ days. Oh and he will give you some pretty chicks too.

Thanks ! He is a great rooster. Just fiesty

Okay I can go with EE. Thank you soooooo much everyone. No when I come to the pen he startes crowing and struting around. I have only had him 7 days so we are still getting to know each other. He is currently in a run with 2 New Hampshire Red hens. Not really for chicks just company. I think I will take him to the fair. It's okay if they turn him down for judging, as long as I can share him w ith others. I really do think he is pretty too

and love to watch him. Since he is a mix/mute. What should I breed him with for really interesting big, pretty, chicks?

Whaaaat? That puny, homely, picked-over-lookin' thang?! You need to box him up and send him to me right away before he contaminates your flock

My hens won't mind at all that he's so malnourished and deprived looking (wow ... I think I'm in luv...)

If he ever needs a home I am gonna write 2 two BYC members. But beware, this rooster eats, mates, crows...... at least 16 hours a day. I am gonna have to separate him and the hens tomorrow and give the girls a break

Once I picked up an EE Cockerel from Craigs list and he was hugh but very handsome. Your rooster does have a pea comb and must have some heavy breed in his mix. I have seen other posts on BYC asking about taking a EE that they thought was an Ameraucana to a fair and the general vote was not to register the birds as an american (incorrect spelling) Unfortunatly most folks do not know the difference and that was part of the discussion. Instead of keeping folks in the dark, try to inform them about the difference.
Anyway maybe he will get used to his new home. I live near Death Valley and my birds enjoy having water to walk though during our triple digit heat. And thirdly make your poor hens some saddles to wear. It only takes a small amount of fabric and they will not need to go around bald. Hens need their feathers to be beautiful and warm in the cold weather.
