At least now we know where the missing eggs have been going.

Kat, that snake is very dangerous, he/she is agressive, i dont know his name but i have seen him from experience, he is extemely poisionis I suggust getting a gun and shooting him, he will attack if you get to near him if he is awake, Don't let him get near the Chickens eather, he will kill them.

Looks like a rat snake too me. i don't believe rat snakes are poisonous. they can be good snakes to have around as they eat rats and mice as their name implies. So I would button up the hen house so he can't get in, or kill it as he will probably continue to come back to get eggs or chickens.

It looks like a yellow rat snake. It's head looks wider than it is normally is because it is swallowing your egg.
Google yellow rat snakes and see if they make a good match.
They are great for keeping vermin down, but if this one has found your eggs easier to get, you may have a reoccurring problem.

Its not a Rat Snake, it is a Poisonous "Clock" because during the seasons a mark on its belly goes clockwise, spring 12:00 summer 3:00 fall 6:00 and winter 9:00, a clock snake, it is not a rat snake it will kill your chickens, in the winter one was found dead, they had studied it, and they found recent chicken bone grinds.

Rat snake.....not poisonous. Needs to def be relocated to a new home or area. I hate killing snakes as they do so much good when it comes to vermin control. Hate seeing he's an egg eater! AWESOME pic!!! Looks like he's already swallowed a couple eggs earlier.

I can't quite believe that my husband's first reaction was to run for the camera. He thanjs you for the compliment.

Why can't I find a pic or description of a clock snake? It has been out there coexisting with the hens for days and hasn't bothered them at all. But it does like eggs.
