WHAT Kind of SPIDER is this???

Where I spent a lot of my childhood days was near the U.S. Army post at Ft. Sill. There were these guys all over. You had to watch where you put your hands on playground equipment. They would also JUMP at you. Every spring they would migrate across the roads in big groups!

It looks like a tarantula to me. Not dangerous unless you are allergic to their bite. A beautiful spider, thank you for sharing with us.

poisonous or not-I was bitten on the foot by a wolf spider and it left an awful place for several weeks---mostly stayed an awful yellow color---was sore too-don't like any of them---we bombed the house once -when we came back there was a dead black widow hanging halfway to the floor in the bathroom from a piece of web--

I have the garden spiders-of all places-actually in the garden--LOL-they do have cool webs and I leave them alone ---they take care of alot of bugs-my husband and I have even thrown bugs into their webs to watch them take care of it--fascinating!!!
