What kind os Marans is this?

This hatched out of some BC marans eggs I bought. Just wondering what color of marans this is.

Doesn't look like a Marans. I'd guess either Welsummer or Barnevelder.

Not a Welsummer. They are little chipmunks as hatchlings.

Definitely not a Wheaten, they hatch out yellow. Even the Roos. It's got slate or darker legs too.

Thats not chipmunk, its just a brown, yellow, and black mess of splotches

It's not any usual colour of Marans. If, indeed, it is a Marans (you won't be able to tell that until it is older).

Someone must been outcrossing at some point, both the mother & the father will have been carrying recessive genes.
