We found this outside our house. We have chickens in our backyard.
This is the second type of chicken that's wandered to our house.

Silkies are not rare, quite a few people sell them. They are not wild, so it ran away from someone. Does anyone in your area keep chickens? They may be looking for it.

I would be asking around before selling it.
I would ask "are you missing a chicken?". That way they have to identify the bird. It heps to get it back to the right home.

X2, this is no different than any other stray animal, efforts should always be made to locate an owner/ return the animal first. Youcan post on social media, seek around with neighbors, etc. Chickens go astray from time to time, if you were missing a bird you'd want the finder you try to get it back to you, right?
