What kinda music do y'all like?

I have an ecclectic taste, but i really like a nice melody and guitar riff.
Coldplay, elton john,Frankie goes to Hollywood,The corrs,
PINK FLLOYD, coldplay, U2, Stevie Nicks(rooms on Fire), I love the Spanish Guitar in that!
ACDC live on stage! coldplay, Eagles, Noiseworks, Kate bush, and did I mention Coldplay!!

I love CSN, The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Buffalo Springfield, Traffic, Jimi Hendrix, Big Brother and the Holding Company...some more of the late greats...

I am a musician in a African-inspired world jazz groove band called Hotel X. Here is our myspace page.

I listen to all kinds of music. I find that just about every style has some good in it. That said the genre I enjoy most is reggae. I love old rocksteady classics from the 60's on the Studio One record label in Jamaica.

Also I listen to a lot of African music, classical, show tunes, funk, old soul/r&b and jazz. But just about any genre will get at least some play here.

I even enjoy the old-school country music. Some great stuff there.

I love every sort of music, listen to all sorts except rap/hip hop. Can't stand the stuff. I get irritated just listening to it.

My favorties are rock(hard and good ole classic rock)/metal/ and some country and have a special addiction to classical and opera. There is nothing like putting Pavarotti on the stereo, turn the lights down and just listen. The man will give me goose bumps. What a voice. Dont understand a word he says when he sings in Italian but somehow one soul communicates to another. <sigh>

I dont really have one favorite artist that I would go out and buy a CD the first day it comes on sale, I just do not have one group or artist I like that much.
In the 6 disc CD player in my jeep right now I have, Papa Roach, Heart (best of), Eagles(greatest hits 1), Sugarland,a "Relaxational Classical CD" and last but not least, a Tool CD.

so yeah I am a mess of musical taste......
If I had to list favorites I dont think I could do it as I have so many.......

Here goes with a top ten and not really in order but these are my favorites, at least my favs at this time....could change next week.

IMO... Rappers make it dirty to disract you from the fact that they have no REAL talent.

RAP=CRAP, but hey, thats just my opinion.

That is exactly the way I feel. It's not music. I've always said it's talking really fast to a beat that is copied from another artist's music.

Not trying to say that if anyone listens to rap then it's wrong...I just don't like it and I'm not alone...finally.
