A hamster bite is worse than a bite from a snake that small. They have tiny little teeth, smaller than a hamster has.

Northern water snakes don't eat chickens or eggs. They eat fish, tadpoles, frogs, toads and salamanders.

Watersnake. It takes on the Moccasin an Copperhead look an flatten their head out into the arrow head shap for defense but when its not threatened, the head will be rounded.

Yes, definitely Common Watersnake. Harmless. They flee if at all possible & will bite only if caught or cornered like most wild animals but not a nasty bite (i.e. they won't attack you). They make a poor pet snake as they don't tame well. I caught one a few weeks ago, and immediately just turned it loose. People mistaken them all the time for Moccasin or Copperhead.

Bury it in a lead box, wrapped in garlic, & sprinkled with Holy water! It's a Copper Headed Rattle Moccasin!

LOL, you guys are silly! Poisonous snakes, for future reference, have slitted pupils like a cat, non-poisonous have round pupils.
