What lays more and larger eggs barnevelder, welsummer, or marans ?

Which of those breeds lays more and has the largest eggs? Also what lays the best dark eggs?

Best/darkest eggs come from Marans, true french types not the common Cuckoos. And best to avoid Blue and Splash ones too.

As for highest production I'd assume a hatchery-based Welsummer or Cuckoo Marans would give that, as they're bred for it.

Biggest eggs? Not sure as I have little personal experience, I just know my Black Coppers and Wheatens/Blue Wheatens lay some BIG eggs!
