What made you happy today?

For the little (or not so little) things in life that make you happy. I'll start with two things that made me happy today.

Today, my roommate got slushies delivered and surprised me with a cotton candy slushy.

My new company got our MSA (Master Service Agreement) and SOW (Statement of Work) from our lawyers, so we're all set legally when we sign new clients.

I made a cake and my family all liked it!

I'm mowing lawn for the last time this season.

It's another bright and beautiful autumn morning.

Door bell rang about an hour ago. When I answered there's a BIG guy and kid standing on the porch. Long story short, the kid shot a deer (it's bow season) on the property to the west, and she ran on our property. They wanted to know if they could come on our property to get her. I said yes, and good luck in tracking her. They said, "Oh we can see her, but she's on your property." Folks doing things the right way - gotta love good people. It was the kid's first deer. I congratulated him.

I got a 20' trench dug a foot deep in my heavy soil garden. Man, that clay is heavy. I'd really like the trench to be another foot deeper; so maybe I'll dig more another day, or next spring.

Stupid cat ran out into 19 degree weather and snow this morning. He's never seen snow or temps that low in his entire life.

He was back half an hour later yowling to be let back in.
