Spent quality time with my dad this morning working on the new chicken coop <3. He's aging, so every shared moment is precious.

Got a lot done today. I made progress in cleaning out the mudroom, got the painting on the bee hive done, sewed a feed bag grocery bag.

And other puttering around things.

Got all of the pallets cleaned out of the greenhouse. I enclosed an area in my yard with them hoping that the deer will avoid them. Still needs more work.

I got to spend some time parked in the middle of the girls out free ranging while some of them climbed up to greet me and just sat with me until I had to finish up my evening chores.

I know. What I'm trying to do is a fence just high enough that they can't see over it with pallets around it. I'm hoping that the uncertain footing will make them hesitant to jump.
