One of my new chickens laid her second egg today, and she laid it in the nest box!

We had a great time at the Sparta (Michigan) Celtic Festival yesterday. One of our favorite bands was there: Crossbow. They are just awesome.

Today I got the apron done on the extension to my chickens' run. My hands and back are tired, but I am so glad to have that done.

One thing that made me happy today was filling the bird feeders and finding a blue bird flush out of the brush in the woods. I have seen one since the spring.

I love listening to the birds in the summer. Just makes my insides happy.

I was happy about constructing a new piece of rock work for my fish tank. But the glue is taking much longer than expected to dry. I am beginning to fear spending the rest of my life carrying a tiny fake coral scepter
