What made you happy today?

You went to hear it again? How many times have you heard it in person? I want to hear that one in person.
I think this will be the third or fourth time I've heard it performed live. It is incredible to hear live. It's my favorite piece of music.

Beethoven was deaf, or nearly so, by the time he composed it.

Ah, "Ode to Joy!" One of my favorites too. But the one I would REALLY love to hear live is his Piano Concerto #5 in E Flat Major, Opus 73. No, no, not the Fifth Symphony that goes ta-ta-ta-TUMMMM. I want the Emperor Concerto. It stirs me to my soul.

That's a lot of times. Was it in the same place each time?

Ash Can Corn! I finally got around to burning two weeks worth of yard clippings and pruned branches. I have a big metal trash can dedicated to just that, so I can save the ash for the chicken spa. Getting the pile down to a manageable size should have been good enough, but I couldn't let all those lovely coals go to waste! I husked a couple of ears of corn, slathered them with homemade butter and shook on some "Sunshine" - a Caribbean style spice mix by McCormick. They were perfect! I should have taken a picture, but they smelled too good to wait ...
I guess I'm gonna have to some serious yard work this weekend so I can do up the rest of the corn!

Make sure it isn't in front of anything that the pellet can hurt. A cardboard box wll not stop those pellets.
I was thinking the big wood pile that is in my yard would be behind a target I set up. It's big enough that I'd have to miss wildly to miss that, and it is big enough that it should absorb any pellets. I have some scrap pieces of composite board that I can pin the cardboard to as well.

I've read all of the instructions, I've read general gun safety, so I think I'm about ready to try it out tomorrow. I may ask my military neighbour to look over my setup before I actually do anything. He's one of the good neighbours that I've given eggs and quail meat to.
