Taking time off from preparing for Christmas made both of us happy. As a matter of fact, I just received a kiss for scheduling our day.

For a few days now, flock of 5 has been spending time on neutral ground in a get-to-know-you pen with flock of 4, separated by hardware cloth. We're hoping to move them closer to integration.

Today there was no posturing, aggression, or fluffed up feathers. They seem mildly curious about each other now and then but are otherwise indifferent (which is good).

One RIR and a Bielefelder stared a bit at each other while they both ate grubs with their heads down together by the divider. "Heyyyyy... you aren't eating MY grubs over there, are ya?" But they got over it quickly and continued eating.

Progress! If we can get these two groups back together, it will be a dream come true.

'Vegetable lady' at the Amish market gave me a 3# bag of clementines for Christmas.

Picking up a couple of freshly baked loaves of challah bread at the local bakery made me happy. -just happened to pop in while on errands.

When I finally bake my cheese cake today will make me happy..I got the cheese for this awhile back and they have not turn into cheese cake yet, I hope today is the day they mature themselves into a nice baked cheese cake.

Last day of school before Christmas break. I'm glad to get the next two weeks off
