What made you happy today?

Was out mowing the overgrown yard and found last year's Tabasco plant was doing well. I'll take that as a win.

Air conditioner is handling the excessive heat and humidity.

The power is on, (and everyone's home, ha ha) the AC is running, the house is cool, it's actually NICE outside now, and that dog booping the cat on the head made me laugh out loud.

That all made me happy!

Walking the yard, found the hydrangea that some animal had mashed to the ground is thriving, the butterfly bush I planted this year is growing and has bloomed- all one foot of it. The Turks cap I transplanted in the spring is doing well and seems happier where it is. The new rose of Sharon has bloomed.

Found out I may actually get the rest of the weekend off although I have to work till tomorrow morning. First time I've had a "weekend" off since like fathers day.

I got my rabbit hutch built today. What took me an hour to do probably would have took my dad 10 minutes

Spent the morning pulling asian jasmine. It makes me happy to see headway being made in removing that aggressive groundcover. Maybe another year will see it all gone.
