My tomatoes are starting to ripen, and I canned 4 quarts today. 4 down, 55-60 to go!

Exactly this! DH was interviewing for a job, and the guy remembered him from another time/place. He said DH was always pleasant and took the time to answer questions and just be generally helpful.

Yup, he got the job and they really appreciate him.

When you go in for an interview, be nice to the receptionist. Sometimes they have a say in whether or not you're hired too. A long time ago I was working at a company and I was covering the front desk. The guy was a jerk to me. He didn't get the job.

Yep - and always get to know the custodial staff where you work - they generally have the poorest paid jobs but make the most difference in how your day goes! HINT: they keep your washrooms cleaned!!!

Yep. If a small trash can is full I'll change it. They wash their mops, rags, dust mops and I'll fold & stack them on his cart. They notice.
We wash our clothes at work and our janitor sees my clothes are in the washer & done he moves them to the dryer. Sometimes folds them too.
