I usually air dry my clothes anyway. It's better for the environment and the clothes smell nice afterwards.

When I first moved in here, I hung the laundry out to dry. When it was dry, it was dirtier than before I washed it. Not a good idea beside a dusty, windy dirt road.

During the winter here I tend to hang it inside. I have a portable solar clothes dryer that works indoors almost as well as out.

Back in the 90's I had an uncle who got in a bit of trouble and was sued for selling "solar powered clothes dryers" online. He was sending people a roll of wire and a package of clothes pins.

Well, that's pretty much a solar clothes dryer. Mine folds, but it's the same idea.
