I'm so glad! How's your flock doing?

Thank you for asking. My troublesome flock is getting better - the big hen that acted like a rooster has stopped so far and that particular flock is a bit more harmonious.

I have 3 flocks. It is easier to keep them that way for now after my rooster gone, too much adjustment and it is taking its time to get there, but it is slowly getting there.

No, I did not know you bought all your chicks.
Those chicks are very lucky that they have mother hen to love them, they can nestle under her for love, warm & protection.

I got 1 chick at 2 days old and put it under my broody hen, she loved it to this day and it is now 6+months old.

I love to watch mother hen and her chicks, the chicks are so confidence and assured running around, jump on mother hen, hide under her...just pure joy.

Yes, I had two broody hens and kept fingers crossed they would stay broody till the chicks were ready! I kept golf balls under them for three weeks. They accepted the chicks just fine, and that made me very happy on Tuesday! This pic shows both hens but not all the chicks.

For the little (or not so little) things in life that make you happy. I'll start with two things that made me happy today.

Today, my roommate got slushies delivered and surprised me with a cotton candy slushy.

My new company got our MSA (Master Service Agreement) and SOW (Statement of Work) from our lawyers, so we're all set legally when we sign new clients.

My rooster Pompom never fails to make me giggle. He’s such a goofy looking fellow!

Other wise, once errands were done today I just sat with my geese. I rarely get a moment to do so.

Last night when I was helping out with trash at work I saw someone had left a headboard near our dumpster. I had been wanting a headboard for a while now and it was just what I was looking for. Right size, right color and it's padded. A coworker helped me get it home and it looks great!

The picture was also something someone left in our dumpster about 3 years ago. It looks like something someone painted by hand (there is a signature on it although I can't read cursive so idk what it said) and the stars glow in the dark
