What makes the best broody nest?

I am getting a silkie for brooding but what should i use for a nest? I don't want to leave her in the laying box though. I had a broody once and she ended up giving up her nest because all the other hens forced her off. HELP!!!!!!!!

I'm not experienced with this sort of thing, but I've heard of something like a box or a rabbit hutch placed in a corner working nicely. Good luck. :]

A dark place, where they can be alone, but have access to food and water, works well for me.
But then again I have little old english hens usually sitting on the eggs so I don't know if it might be different for silkies.

will an old dog house work??? it's dark and i can close it in the front if the others are bothering her
