My chicken is unwell

So this chicken was saved from a chicken farm we built her a house bought her food (I have no idea if she’s a girl) she doesn’t lay eggs and we’ve had her 2 weeks? And now she is having orange diarrhoea and can’t walk she has to flap her wings to keep balance please help
The greenish-brownish, solid, squirmy-looking poop is most likely a cecal poop (normal). The white diarrhea is concerning, though.

It could be anything from kidney problems to a vitamin deficiency.

It could be she needs calcium and vitamins. Can you pick up some Poultry Cell or Nutri-Drench and put some of that in her water? You could also give her one of your calcium pills if you have any. The best for her would be 300 mg Calcium Citrate +D3. She can have a whole one, just put it in her beak. Once a day for a few days. If you have only Tums, that'll work in a pinch. Just break it in half and put one at a time in her beak.

Hope your chicken gets better soon!

Welcome to BYC!

Sorry she's not feeling well. There are lots of important things to consider. I'm not as good at spotting illnesses as many of the wonderful folks on here, but the more information we have, the better, so we can consider all possibilities.

What does her coop/living situation look like? What kind of bedding are you using? How often are you cleaning it? Is it properly ventilated? Does she have an outside run, what does it look like?

What kind of food are you giving her? Brand and type? Can you post a picture of the nutrients label, too? Are you giving her any additional foods, such as scraps or mealworm treats?

Based on the comb, she looks to be only a couple of months old. She won't be laying eggs anytime soon, if she ever does. As others have said, she looks like a Cornish Cross. Her being from a chicken farm means she is very, very likely a meat bird, especially considering that she looks rather wide set. If you know if the farm was either a meat farm or an egg farm, that will give you an answer. Unfortunately, meat birds are not bred to live long healthy lives and usually just suffer if allowed to live past a certain point.

Chickens are flock animals, and will not do well when living alone. She will need friends if you are planning to keep her around for a while. Of course, it's important to figure out what is ailing her first and get her better, in case it's contagious.

Sorry again that your poor chicken is sick!
