What makes your coop unique??

no pics of our coop handy, but ours is unique because it was constructed from all reused/recycled materials with the exception of three sheets of T1-11 siding, a latch for the main door, and a set of hinges for the window. that was a goal that i set when i went down this road, and i'm happy to say that i met it.

Mine has a picket fence! There are pictures on my page https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=22588

So far we have had 3 dogs (supervised, they belonged to my sister) try to get in and they couldn't! The gate is usually left open for them to free range, so I'm not too concerned about it keeping things out.

Edited to add: What they hay, I'll post a pic too

My drawbridge probably makes mine unique. the chain goes outside the coop and loops around to the hinged plank. I pull the chains and drape them over a hook on the wall sealing the birds in for the night, without going into the coop.

This picture was taken during construction...

Works like a champ too!

Our family took on the project a few weeks ago. I have been researching for months. We built our coop/run out of recycled/reused materials. Only thing we had to buy was wire. It's not squared up or pretty...but it's functional and it was made with lots of love and laughter. I figure the chickens won't mind. It's warm and big and well it's the best one we ever made because we never did this before! LOL
