Gritty, DH was watching "We Were Soldiers" this past weekend. As soon as it came on, I asked him "Are you TRYING to make me cry???"

1979 film "The Champ". If you have never seen it, it is a GREAT movie and I guarantee you will not be able to watch it without a considerable amount of tears shed.
