These are my rainy day mugs. I got them when we did an extended family vacation in Seattle about a dozen years ago. Today is rainy, so I’m using the left one. Figured I better take a photo of the right one while it’s empty.

The right one is my favorite, but both are pretty awesome.

Yes! A paczki is a specialized type of Polish donut.

Edit: let me see if I can explain how to pronounce it in text.

Poo, then the n sound, then the ch sound, then key

Poo n ch (1 syllable)

key (2nd syllable)

Except kind of shorten the poo, so not like moo, more like book. (Clear as mud?) It might help if you are familiar with the German umlaut.

It would definitely help if I knew how to write phonetically!

Funny...I went to the grocery store yesterday after posting my question about the pastries. And the store had a big sale on them and display up front by the cashiers! They look delicious, but I was good and resisted.
